The Amil curro (outdoor pen) is a spectacular event, characterised by the wild horses coming down Acibal Mountain where they live all year, before being rounded up and driven to the curro located in Pastizal. Here the animals are separated, a real struggle between man and beast as the animal rises up on its legs and kicks and struggles before finally relinquishing, being branded and having its mane cut off
