Monte Beiro, at an altitude of just 140 m, provides a beautiful panoramic view encompassing the mouth of the Ulla valley (forming the Ría Arousa), not to mention the Barbanza mountain range and its foothills, as well as mounts Oleiron, Meda and Xesteiras. A pinewood area of repopulated trees is home to 40 different species, making up the so-called "botanic-forest itinerary". The windmill bears testament to a time when wind power enjoyed great importance here. The opportunity to exercise in this natural environment is all thanks to a 'natural gym circuit' - a 400 m facility comprising 7 stations where you can do 14 gym activities. The sports grounds allow for various open-air sports such as tennis, handball, and football. The area also features a children's playground and a spot with tables and benches. The surroundings of Monte Beiro make up part of the Valga Eco-Museum (formed by the fluvial beach of Vilarello, the Parafita waterfalls, Mercé mine, and Monte Beiro), and aims to enhance the natural wealth of the area.
