The Galician Atlantic Islands National Park opened its first visitor centre at Christmas 2012 in the Cambón building, situated in the historic centre of the city. It aims to show the natural and cultural values of the Atlantic islands in an artistic way with the intention of transporting the visitor to this unique protected area.
It also has the objective of acting as a guide for visitors to the islands, so that they can enjoy their natural and cultural wealth in situ after having had a sample of their value. Lastly, it aims to contribute to the preservation of these emblematic islands while being a place that everyone can use and enjoy.
