The Sixth Building of the Museum of Pontevedra, located in the city centre of Pontevedra, perfectly illustrates the transition from the traditional to the new. UP Arquitectos designed two clearly defined areas. One is modern and transparent to the city, made of glass walls and walkways. The other is made of stone and houses the exhibition rooms like a treasure chest hides its gold. The intensity of the building is mitigated by horizontal lines that let light in during the day and project it outwards at night.
