A Romanesque bridge from the 18th century, with a triangular outline and rounded arches. There are also two semi-circular arches, the largest of which boasts a width of 8 m while the smaller one has a width of 4 m. The bridge has cutwaters on the intermediate buttress. Longitudinally, the bridge is rectilinear, but the surface is broken into two sloping planes, a layout which the specific vocabulary refers to as the “back of a mule”. The surface is duly paved, and equipped with two parapets with a height of 1 m, which define a road surface with a width of 3.4 m. One element of interest on this bridge is the commemorative plaque laid out vertically on the aforementioned parapet, on the highest part of the ‘back of the mule’. This piece of stone is crowned by a small, modern-looking stone cross and on the front there are the remains of an inscription virtually lost as a consequence of wear and tear. However, the parts that have been able to be identified are in no way mediaeval, and in all likelihood come from the baroque age. From the Plaza de la iglesia de Cerdedo to the Chapel of San Antón, and crossing the bridge, is a stretch of roadway that could date back to Roman times, and which is in a very good state of repair. The site is surrounded by woodland and fields of crops, as well as eucalyptus forests.
