The hereditary line Caticovas was passed through María Daval Caamaño, who married Domingo de Moiños Paadín, a descendant of the O Revel Pazo. From this couple on, important family connections were made as their children married descendants of other lineages.
The solidity prevails over every other architectural peculiarity of the pazo. In the construction several elements representatives of the architecture of the castros are combined with other styles, like the attached tower that denotes a great heaviness, the hipped roof or the gargoyles that remind of artillery pieces that defended this type of buildings in earlier times. The chapel gives it its stately look.
