This vantage point, located on the north side of the mountains, was probably used as a shelter and lookout post.
It is considered a fortress that was built during the Middle Ages to protect the territory from Visigothic attacks, although this one is not the only hypothesis and its origin remains uncertain.
Nowadays there are only remains of the site, which has been declared a Cultural Interest Asset.
