This festival has been organised by the residents' association of O Castro since 1992. It starts with a capping ceremony with medals for the new ladies and gentlemen of the Order of the Broth, followed by music performances, visits and open-air dances. The only event in the region dedicated to Galician Broth, it was declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in 2018. The dish is served in an earthenware pot with several different types of meat, as well as chorizo, potatoes and turnip greens.
