This Romanesque church has a cruciform plan and a square apse, which makes it unique in Galicia. A historiated capital with elaborate iconography and an exceptional collection of beautifully decorated brackets are some of the most noteworthy architectural elements of the building. It was built in the second half of the 12th century as part of a Benedictine monastery, but its original appearance changed due to a restoration in the 19th century and the addition of a bell tower.
