The weather in this area

These gardens surrounding the provincial manor house were started in 1891. According to the designs, they were geometrically shaped in the style of the Galician traditional manor houses of the area. The most notable species they contain is the camellia. The oldest varieties, planted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, may come from the Agricultural School of Caeira, which closed in 1886 but sold plants from its nurseries up to the early 20th century. Among the rest of the species, the most noteworthy are the southern magnolia and the cabbage tree, which judging by their size may have been planted when the garden was first designed.
