A Festival of Tourist Interest since 2004, this is a very popular event in the region. The city of Vigo was a global force in the fishing industry, and fishermen prayed to this saint for protection when they were far away from land. The seafarers’ guild has celebrated the event since 1861 and during the festivities, visitors are offered different stands, attractions for children, music and above all the legendary fireworks of Bouzas.
