The Arcos de Furcos cemetery earned the title of singular because it’s the only underground graveyard of Galicia. This burial site, located near the San Breixo church, was built in the 1940s with the collaboration of the neighbours of the village. To reach the catacombs of Arcos de Furcos, you must use a stairway to access the net of galleries, about 5 m deep, that house a total of 245 niches.
