This has been the most important regatta organised by the Monte Real Yacht Club since it began in 1985. It has been classified as a high-level competition by the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and the event attracts top competitors from both national and international waters to Baiona. The rich maritime culture of Galicia has been promoted with a classic and traditional style that highlights the greatest sporting challenges of the best Spanish and Portuguese sailing boats.
