The Pazo de Valeixe, better known as the Palace, was the habitual dwelling of successive abbots of the parish. It has historically been linked to the Pazo de Os Barreiros, in the parish of San Xurxo de Vilar (Crecente), from where Basilio Gil, Abbot of the Parish of San Eusebio de A Peroxa, Diocese of Ourense, founded the link and mayorship through which his successors had the right to the vicarage of Santa Cristina de Valeixe. Some reforms can be seen in the current building, the most prominent of which is the one carried out with the baroque solaina. In its original state, it appears to have kept the enclosure walls, which contains the access door, emblazoned and traditionally covered with ivy. The door in the imposing entrance is flanked by two heraldic carvings. The one on the left, divided by a cross, represents the primitive arms of the Gil family, and the one on the right shows the alliance between the Troncoso family from Lira and the Gil family from Araújo
