The Rock Art Archaeological Park is an ambitious cultural project created by the Department of Culture, Education and University Management of the Xunta de Galicia (Galicia’s regional government). It aims to apply an integrated management model that strikes a balance between conservation, research and promotion of the petroglyphs in Galicia.
The archaeological park is a cultural site to learn in a fun and participatory way. It is the perfect place to learn about petroglyphs (as it is one of the most relevant open-air rock art sites in Europe), discover the meaning of these mysterious patterns and know more about the lives of our ancestors with a clear and educational approach. Additionally, the park is used for research purposes to provide expert knowledge about the petroglyphs of Galicia.
