This house was built in 1911 and belonged to the family of astronomer Ramón María Aller Ulloa. It became the first Astronomical Observatory of Galicia, and afterwards it was acquired by the Council of Lalín to turn it into a house-museum or mixed museum, due to the different collections.
A part of the museum is dedicated to personal objects from Ramón Aller, and another has collections from Xosé Otero Abeledo ‘Laxeiro’, donated by the artist himself to the town of Lalín in 1974. It also has objects belonging to Joaquín Loriga. This way, the museum is dedicated to the three illustrious sons of Lalín.
