The parish church is one of the most remarkable architectonic elements of the municipality of As Neves. It was built in 1679 and it’s a clear example of the Galician Baroque style.
It was made of granite, with a Latin cross floor-plan and a gable roof. The façade has a door with a lintel, a small circular eyespot and a two-store bell-gable, the lower one with two bays and the upper with one. It has pinnacles on the corners and the ciborium located over the altar stands out.
On the outside, one of its lateral walls has a series of coats of arms of the Gil de Araújo, Suárez de Puga y Ozores, Guntón and Carballido families, which are also seen in other buildings of the parish like the Pazo de la Merced or the Casa de Reguengo.
