21 July is the day of Virgen del Carmen, Patron Saint of all seamen, an important date for this town due to the large quantity of its residents who are dedicated to the sea. Especially interesting is the procession at sea in which many decorated vessels accompany the image of the virgin on its tour of the estuary.
