This film festival has the objective of screening Galician short firms, but also offers a variety of other projects like documentaries and feature films, as well as a music video contest, talks with film-makers, music performances and more cultural activities. It is held at the end of May in the parish of Cans (O Porriño), at the same time as the Cannes Festival in France. The idea for the festival actually originated from the similar names of this Galician town and the French city.
