The chapel of San Roque is located in front of the bullring, very close to the port of las Corbaceiras. This emplacement was chosen to protect the city from the mortal effects of the infected ships. It is a small building with a square shaped floor plan and only one nave. Its most remarkable characteristics are its small bell tower, located on the main façade, and an image of San Roque made of coloured metal and located on one of the sides of the temple. Even though its origin is unclear, throughout the centuries it was moved around until it was placed in its current location in 1861, preserving some elements of its original construction.
